Essay contest winners: Is optimism the key to achieving.
Optimist Club of Reno must receive essays by February 7, 2020, to be eligible for the contest. After the Optimist Club of Reno receives your application, an invitation will be sent to invite you to a banquet where the winners will be announced. If you are interested in either contest, please fill out the appropriate application form.
The Essay Contest planning pages are intended for use by Optimist Clubs in organizing and conducting a contest in their Club. They contain no information on entering the contest and are of no use to students wishing to enter the contest. Students must contact their local Optimist Club. When: All Club-level contests are held by early February.
Optimist International hosts an annual Oratorical and Essay Contest. As a club we host a local contest. The winner of our club contest than competes at the District level. District winners are then eligible to compete at the National level. Winners receive scholarship funds at each level.
The Optimist Club of Dearborn has been participating in the Optimist Essay Contest for over 45 years and has been active in the community since 1940. Other programs and service projects that the Club is involved in include Oratorical Contest, Art Contest and Respect for Law.

WHAT: The Essay Contest is sponsored by Optimist International to give young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions regarding the world in which they live. The approach can encompass a young person’s personal experience, the experience of their country or a more historical perspective.
The Issaquah Optimist Club has adopted the Optimist International Essay Contest as one of their signature events. As reported in an earlier post on this blog, Issaquah Optimists find their target audience, they work closely with the high schools to promote the contest.Of course they work equally as hard to get the word out about the results.
